We blame anorexia on ghosts. Some vague force out there is making women feel inadequate about their bodies. This strange entity derives joy from its misogynist warping of the woman's form. The being finds pleasure in pointing out the flaws in girls to the point that they feel hate for their own fragile form. Ghosts are the ones causing anorexia. We blame anorexia on ghosts.
Ghosts are a nasty sort of brute, intangible and, most important to distinguish, not real. Though a few hippies would beg to differ after smoking the peace pipe in the afterhours, ghosts don't exist. What's important then is to note what we blame on ghosts and what ghosts really are. The denying of the sacred and intrinsic beauty of the human form is done by ghosts; terrorism is caused by ghosts; the loonies who believe radical, absurd things that you absolutely disagree with are ghosts; the perpetuation of racist stereotypes is done by ghosts; all of everything evil is the product of ghosts.
At this point, pissed at my vagueness, you might be asking yourself "What are ghosts? Stop being a stupid idiot and be clear." So I will. Ghosts are society. Society is this nice little thing we can demonize and hate and blame all our problems on. Society is a cute punching bag we can beat up with our minds for all the messed things it's doing. The problem with blaming "society," a vague, made-up thing, is that it makes problems caused unfixable. Poverty. Racism. Sexism. We can't fix these things because they're done by this ghostly entity with no face. Ooooooooo. Oooooooooo.
Society is real. It actually exists. It's composed of me, you and everyone else. Racism is caused by human beings, not some weird Bogly-Ogly we can imagine in our heads. Once you realize that something bad is done by someone, you can trace the bad thing to its source and get rid of it. Women's rights are being trampled on daily. Cool. Proof or gt*o. You can't go around with your head up your rear end blaming vague things on shady organizations, "Hollywood" or "society" for obliteration of the civil liberties of females without due reason. "Society" doesn't do these things; humans do. With that, there's a bit of hope that we can persuade these fellow humans (NOTE: NOT GHOSTS) to not do bad things. It's not some vague beast doing malicious deeds to the detriment of all its destructive path that we can blame all our problems on and not fix. I guess I'm calling you lazy. Get owned.
